Art Journaling with Joan
We know that being creative, connecting with others and learning something knew all help with our wellbeing so why not come along and give Art Journaling a try! Open to all ages.
Art Journaling is writing a diary without words. It promotes wellbeing in the knowledge that you are making something beautiful and meaningful to yourself, knowing that you CAN be an artist. Joan will gently guide you through the process and share examples of her many journals and infectious passion for this mindful craft.
You can paint, craft, draw or even stick pictures you like, into a plain A5 sketchbook. It doesn’t require great artistic skills, just a wish to make something memorable and beautiful to treasure. All the art materials and small notebook will be provided.
This will be a 3 week course for those wanting to continue their Art Journaling journey or for complete beginners. You will be able to purchase an A5 Journal from Joan for £5 to see you through the course and beyond but all other materials will be provided. We are asking for a suggested £20 donation to Thrive Langton for the 3 week course, but we would not want to discourage anyone from attending due to financial constraints so it is merely a voluntary donation.
Please email email@example.com to register for the course. There are only 10 places available so do hurry!

Teens & Tweens Wellbeing Workshop
For so many of our young people, the sense of expectation and pressure both from the world around them and from their inner voice, can feel overwhelming at times. Sadly, the numbers of young adolescents who struggle with their mental health is on the increase. So, we have teamed up with Pip Tuppen, a qualified physiotherapist, psychotherapist, mindfulness and yoga teacher, to run an amazing workshop to help tweens and teens think about stress, and how there are easy-to-learn tools they can use to manage the ups and downs of life.
We have two sessions in the morning and two sessions in the afternoon. They are specifically for students in Years 10-13 and for those in year 7-9 – taking place on Saturday 3rd February.
At this age, there is always confidence in numbers, so your child is positively encouraged to bring their mates with them.
We are hosting the following 4 sessions:
Years 7-9: 10-11am or 2-3pm.
Years 10-13:11.30am -12.30pm or 3.30 – 4.30pm
Space will be limited so booking is essential. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your child’s place and specify their age and whether you would prefer the morning or afternoon session.
Location: Village Hall
FROM THURSDAY 7th MARCH 7:30 – 8:45 PM
Life’s challenges can often leave you feeling like you’re all at sea. Rather than feel overwhelmed, learn to surf the waves with Ruth Gray.
These non-religious meditation sessions will give you a chance to stop be still and learn the art of being mindful.
A small voluntary contribution per session or £10 for a series of sessions.
There is no need to book – just simply drop in!
